Virtual resources and signposting

The “Getting Results” project funded by the Commission for Racial Equality, has been invaluable to NWREN and to North Wales’ BME communities. You are seeing the results here, as one of the major achievements was the launch of this Website. This virtual information resource is designed to contribute substantially to our overall strategy of providing information, signposting and education.

The site also provides an environment from which race hate incidents can be reported. There are many reasons why individuals do not report racist crime. We hope that by providing this safe and anonymous virtual environment reporting racist behaviour will be easier. .

To support our work we have also been able to use the project to locate and map formal and informal translation facilities in the area. We hope that, eventually, we will be able to make this information available on our website.

Another communication tool that has been developed as a result of the funding is the NWREN Newsletter. Copies can be found on-line in our News section
